Paris Hilton has surprised the world by announcing on her instagram account that she’s had a second baby.
The heiress, 42, who is married to successful businessman Carter Reum, also 42, had a surrogacy journey to conceive her eleven month old son Phoenix. and has now quietly had another surrogacy journey to have a sibling.
Since the message she has been inundated with congratulatory messages after saying she was “thankful” for her baby daughter ‘London’ in a Thanksgiving post.
The celebrity hasn’t disclosed many of the details yet, but her famous friends, including supermodel Naomi Campbell have sent her sweet “welcome” messages.
Paris is hoping for a big family
Paris has made no secret of her hopes for a big family and she’s clearly overjoyed to be a mom again.
Her daughter’s name didn’t come as a surprise however, as she revealed to Ellen DeGeneres in 2022, that if she had a baby girl, she would be calling her London.
“The girl is gonna be named London Marilyn Hilton Reum,” she said. “Marilyn after my grandmother and London because it’s my favorite city and I think Paris and London sound cute together.”
So how much is the average surrogacy journey?
Many people believe surrogacy is only for the rich, but that’s not always true. In the USA it varies widely but generally starts at around $95,000, excluding medication. It can however be as low as 60,000 dollars if you shop around.

The laws vary widely
The laws surrounding surrogacy vary throughout the world, but Ilinois is regarded as a highly surrogacy friendly state, both for heterosexual couples as well as for same sex couples.
One of the main reasons for this is that the gestational surrogate, who is not related to the baby, signs an order giving the rights to the baby to the intended parents as soon as there is a heartbeat. This is something not all states do. Also, both parents get their names on the birth certificate, and the surrogates name is not recorded.
Other countries like Mexico are now offering surrogacy journey’s for as little as 30 – 40,000 dollars. We would recommend you do your research though and try to get good references before going ahead with any type of journey.
