TV stars Ollie and Gareth Locke are thrilled to finally become dads after a long surrogacy journey.
The reality stars who became famous thanks to the UK Channel 4 series ‘Made in Chelsea’, have publicly documented their efforts to become parents over the last three years, sharing their highs and lows after several failed attempts at ivf.
Thousands of fans have signed up to follow their surrogacy journey on their you tube channel “Our Daddy diaries‘, and are enjoying their sentimental and sometimes comedic moments, as the boys discuss coping with the usual new parenting challenges of night feeds and lack of sleep.
Alongside an adorable video introducing the newborns Ollie, 36, described just how emotional the journey has been:
He said: ‘We are so excited to announce that our beautiful twins are finally here and they are more precious than we could have ever imagined.
We’ve captured our journey to this point so we have a record of the excitement leading up to them coming home with us – and most importantly, their incredible and unique names: ‘Apollo Magnus Obi and Cosima Emily Bex’.
As well as their you tube reality videos, the new dads have done their first photoshoot with Hello magazine, offering the publication a glimpse inside their new life as a family of four.
They told the magazine: ‘The babies are here – this is what we’ve been waiting for. ‘It’s this wonderful moment when we know that we’re the fathers we always wanted to be.’
The happy couple certainly seem to be taking it all in their stride, and have a solid relationship after knowing each other for ten years meeting as childhood sweethearts.
They finally got engaged in 2018 and decided to brave covid conditions to say ‘I do’ in a secret ceremony in London in November 2020.
