The second reading of the ‘fertility bill’ took place in the House of Commons recently.
If like it’s champions – three brave ivf warriors, Natalie Silverman, Claire Ingle, Becky Kearns, you’ve ever wondered ‘am I allowed time off for IVF’, if this bill is confirmed it will allow women and their partners to get paid leave for IVF.
In effect the law will see fertility courses treated the same as antenatal appointments.
NHS England and NHS improvement have recently given their 8,000 staff three days off per year specifically for fertility treatment.
