Kourtney Kardashian has given birth to her first child with husband, Blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker. The baby, a boy, has been given the unusual name of Rocky 13.
It’s believed the reality television star, 44, arrived at Cedars Sinai Medical Centre, in Los Angeles, California, on Saturday 4 November. Witnesses claim her sister Kylie Jenner, 26, arrived in a Range Rover shortly afterwards..
Sources claim the birth went without a hitch and the new family are now safely back at home in Calabasas.
It’s the fourth child for the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashian’s star’ who went through several rounds of unsuccessful IVF before conceiving naturally. She had taken the precaution of freezing her eggs, but even this didnt help her fertility treatment work.
Pregnancy included a medical emergency
Unfortunately, Kourtney’s pregnancy was not an easy one..
On September 1, Travis and his band canceled tour dates in Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin due to an “urgent family matter” leaving fans to worry about Kourtney.
Later that week, Kourtney revealed she suffered a major scare and underwent fetal surgery on her unborn baby.
“I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life,” she told fans in a heartfelt instagram post at the time.
“I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterward, my rock.
“And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.
“As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery.
“I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear.
“I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.”
“Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing,” the TV personality concluded.
Expanding Family
The Poosh founder already has three children with her ex Scott Disick – son Mason, 13; daughter Penelope 11; and son Reign, eight.
Travis, meanwhile, shares two kids with his ex-wife Shanna- son Landon, 19, and daughter Alabama.
He also acts as a father figure to Ariana de la Nova, 24, who is Shanna’s daughter with her ex, Oscar de la Hoya.
Kourtney revealed in June that she was pregnant after undergoing months of IVF. Later, she confirmed she got pregnant naturally despite all the medical intervention.
She announced the baby news while in the crowd at a Travis’ concert in Los Angeles.
She made the reveal by holding an iconic sign that read “Travis I’m pregnant” – a nod to the band’s iconic music video for All The Small Things.
