Our reporter Emma Kemsley has survived stage 4 endometriosis, 8 rounds of IVF and a termination for medical reasons during covid at 20 weeks.
She is now moving on from IVF and starting a new life as a travel reporter, and enjoying adventures in Europe. As we write she is touring Italy after visiting (and thinking of relocating to) Barcelona and France.
Read her numerous articles by searching her name. Among those we recommend are her survivors guide to laparoscopy surgery. and her emma vs endo series of reports. The following is a video interview filmed during covid after Emma and her husband James had to have a TFMR.
Here are a selection of her other video nterviews discussing endometriosis, talking to her surgeon Mr Mabrook, and her interview with her mother Tina.
Apart from battling infertility our brave ivf warrior tragically lost her mother to cancer recently. We were fortunate enough to interview Tina for her thoughts on living with a daughter who has endometriosis. She was a remarkable lady and we dedicate this film to her memory.
Here is the link to an article containing a list of helpful resources for those suffering from endometriosis.
We also have an article highlighting the celebrities who have endometriosis.
On a positive note for those who think they might have endometriosis there is a new pain killing drug being trialed which could prevent future generations going through the agony many currently experience.
And if you think you have endometriosis there is a new saliva test which avoids the need for surgery to confirm.
